Esko Early Learning Preschool is a 4-star Parent Aware rated program for children 3 to 5 years of age. This program, through age-appropriate curriculum, prepares children to enter into kindergarten with the necessary skills, behavior and stability they need to flourish and progress. Our preschool is located in the Esko Education Center, 16 E Hwy 61, next door to the main Esko School building. The program is staffed by qualified licensed teachers. Our Early Learning Philosophy is that kids are confident, happy, healthy, adjusted, socialized, and independent little people. Confidence is key! We use a play-based approach when it comes to teaching young children. Our belief is that a child’s work is play, and through play children develop social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills. Registration will open at Noon on March 11, 2024 Stepping Stones (must be 3 by Sept. 1st 2024) and School Readiness (must be 4 by Sept. 1st 2024) both cover all of the above in preparing children for future learning. School Readiness Discovery is a new class which offers a more STEM based option. This class will both spend more time outdoors, and will also take in extra field trips to allow a deeper exploratory learning style. Discovery will have a $200 one time registration fee. This fee covers the registration, field trip costs, and transportation costs. School Readiness and Stepping Stones have a $40 registration fee. When combining the School Readiness class and School Readiness Discovery classes, your child will have a 5 day of week learning experience. These classes are also each available individually. All students must come prepared everyday to go outside. Our teachers will determine the amount of time spent outside based on the weather. All students entering, Stepping Stones, School Readiness, and Discovery must be fully toilet trained.

  • After School Clubs

After-School Clubs in Esko aim to meet the academic, social, physical, and creative needs of students. We also want them to have fun! Students typically receive a snack after school then go to their club's meeting spot. Once their club has finished (ending time depends on the club) they are to be picked up at the east entrance (playground door #6) or may go to Cool Kids until they are picked-up (if they are registered with Cool Kids for the year). Once students are registered for an afterschool club, on the day of the club, they should report to the cafeteria immediately after school to check in and have their snack. Instructors will pick up students there and deliver them to door #6 for pick up at the end of the club. Registration Deadlines: Clubs close for registration the day PRIOR to the beginning of the club. Some clubs may need more time, and may close more than one day prior. This information may be noted in the course description. No registrations will be accepted after the club's closing date. Esko Community Education cannot accept registration for After School Clubs on the day of the club, due to communication with the teachers and Cool Kids regarding attendance. This is done to ensure the safety of our students at the end of the school day. We appreciate your understanding of this policy. Updated Refund/Discount policy: Refunds can be given on classes that have not begun with notice 24 hours prior to the start of class. Refunds can not be given on the day of the class, or after the class has started. Registration for after school clubs releases photo rights to Community Education and the organization providing the club.

It offers help and ideas through group discussions, parent-child activities, and quality early childhood education. The purpose of the program is to help strengthen the family by providing support to parents as they work to meet their child's developmental needs. ECFE helps you develop your role as a parent. These beginning years of your child's life is crucial. Intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth occur rapidly from birth to age 5. At no other time will your child's development be as great. Your home is the child's first learning environment. During these most important years, you as the parent, are the child's most significant teacher.

Children will have quality time with their parent, and also gain some independent experience while parents go off to a separate parent group for a portion of the class time. Parents will meet with a licensed parent educator to discuss parenting joys and concerns, as well as their child's social, emotional and physical development.
